The lodge had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a microwave, coffee machine, hot tub, and a stunning view. The bed was amazing, and I enjoyed having a living room and TV. Meeting fellow travelers added to the experience. Access to Kilauea Volcano was a highlight.
Felt so much at home, no reason to complain.

I had a delightful stay at a quirky hotel near Volcano National Park. The setting of the chalets and the hot tub in the beautiful gardens was perfect for relaxation. My room on the first floor overlooked a serene carp pond, adding to the charm. The hotel's proximity to Volcano National Park made it even more convenient for exploring.
Although the overall experience was great, there was some grit between the bed sheets on my first night. I wondered how it got there and if the bedding had been changed properly.

We stayed at Chalet Kilauea for a few nights while exploring the nearby Volcano National Park. The cozy hotel is just outside the park and offers a wonderful setting with chalets and a hot tub in beautiful gardens. Our room on the first floor had a lovely view of the carp pond. We were pleasantly surprised by the shared kitchen and pizza oven, which allowed us to have fun cooking our own meals. The staff provided extra blankets for the colder nights, which my wife really appreciated. we loved the convenient location, friendly staff, and the feeling of being in a tropical paradise.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Okay, so I guess there were a couple of good things about this place. The location was pretty convenient, being near the volcano and all. Plus, there were restaurants, shops, and a gas station nearby, so that was handy. And I guess one thing I did enjoy was the fact that the price was reasonable. But overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here.
Oh man, where do I even start with this place? First of all, the photos on the website make it look way nicer than it really is.

We had a fantastic time at this charming place! The location couldn't have been better - just minutes away from the park entrance and a stone's throw from delicious restaurants. The customer service was top-notch, with quick and responsive assistance. The room itself was stunning and had a unique touch. We especially loved the heaters that kept us cozy during the cooler evenings. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend staying here.
While our stay was amazing, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. finding the place could be a bit confusing, and the office had limited opening hours.

I loved the cozy and charming Swiss chalet vibe of the room at Chalet Kilauea. The high ceilings and spacious layout made it feel very comfortable. The fact that it had both a heater and a fan was great, especially since it can get cold in Volcano. The view of the Koi Pond and garden from the room was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was lively with colorful tiles and had a nice shower. Being a disabled traveler, I appreciated the amenities and facilities that catered to my needs.
I felt at ease during my stay at Chalet Kilauea and had nothing to complain about.

The location of the hotel was great, nestled on a beautiful street in the midst of the rainforest. It provided a serene and picturesque atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently located only 2 miles from the entrance of a national park, making it easy for sightseeing.
The cleanliness of the hotel was subpar and could definitely use some improvement. There was a noticeable lack of cleanliness and the rooms were in need of upgrading and deeper cleaning.

The location of the hotel is conveniently close to the national park, allowing easy access to explore the surrounding areas. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing detailed instructions and a key envelope for easy check-in.
The budget location within the hotel, Volcano Hale, was more like a hostel with loud noise from the kitchen and a skylight that couldn't be covered, causing disturbance during the night and early morning.
